The legendary Heidelberg tango drum scanner and the s3400 Chromagraph used by mark Zissis photography is the finest scanner in the world and is the machine most sought after by fine artists to start their digital process.

Any size film can be scanned (colour and B&W,) transparency and negative, from 35mm up to medium format 6x6 6x9 6x17, large format 8x10 and larger.

The Heidelberg tango drum scanner combines a true optical resolution of over 11000dpi, with a dynamic range of 4.2 to ensure that all the information contained on your film is captured in the scan. Both 8 bit and 16 bit tango scans are available for optimal post-scan processing.
The Heidelberg Chromagraph S3400 offers a stunning 19200 dpi resolution with 48-bit colour. Both Heidelberg scanners can range from 100 MB up to 3.5 GB per scan.

The Chromagraph s3400 offers an outstanding scan with a smaller drum, at a slow rotation making this digital image perfect to the human eye.

We can scan into any workspace, adobe RGB, CMYK, or true CIE-LAB colour profiles.
Unlike CCD scanners, this process takes a little longer to produce. The transparency is carefully cleaned to remove fingerprints and any dust particles, then mounted to the drum using the finest drum oil, leaving no residue or harm to your priceless bit of film. Once mounted, scanning to your requirements can commence.

 

Once scanning is complete, the imaged is saved and burnt onto DVD-R or CD.
