AWARD WINNING PHOTOGRAPHY
Mark shoots with a traditional Linhof Technorama 6 X 17 panoramic medium format film camera with a 3:1 ratio as well as high-end medium format / 35mm Digital Cameras. Film images are drum scanned in a lab by Mark, producing 1.2 gig digital files. Pictures are framed at various lengths, such as five-minute window. This is visible in the end result. Once the film is developed, the colour transparency shows an amazing amount of colour saturation no other camera can come close to capturing.

Mark has been shooting landscape images of Australia for more than 17 years. His signature style of capturing images shows throughout his work. The world we live in is bursting with natural beauty and without a shadow of a doubt, Mark manages to capture the very essence of this beauty through his truly awe-inspiring prints.
Award-winning images of Mark’s collection have been on display in various expo’s alongside the country’s best photographers. Mark’s passion for photography began in 1998 when his late grandfather gave him a camera, for a road trip to the outback, Bourke NSW to photograph a remote property for a magazine publication. He developed a style of capturing images, and from that day forward he was addicted to photography. He learnt the art of using medium format film camera’s and purchasing his own drum scanner.
THE MAKING OF A MASTERPIECE
Mark is one of few photographers in Australia to drum scan his own 6 X 17 colour transparencies in lab, each image is oil mounted to a drum. Every part of the film has to undergo a thorough tight scrutinising process ensuring the image can be used as a limited edition. Once the perfect transparency is selected the image is ready for Drum scanning, Heidelberg Linotype – Hell Tango 64 bit LAB colour at 1.2 gig of data turning film into a very large digital file ready for printing.
Limited Editions of high quality are developed using the latest in Silver Halide Technology. Each print must live up to Mark’s standards in production from colour match to signing and numbering, face mounting and custom framing. The quality of Mark’s images reflects the integrity and dedication to his life passion.
