Built-in 1889 by the Wallace Brothers, this hut is one of the oldest mountain huts in the Alpine National Park.
Nestled amongst snow gums, the hut sits flat on the Grassy Plains.
Situated in the Bogong High Plains. I captured this Classic Australian Panorama late afternoon just before the snow season had arrived.
The colour temperature made for a perfect cold winter’s shot.
The moisture in the air was around 3 degrees, snow gums came to life with so much vibrant colours.
With the temperature being so low, I could barely roll the film onto the Linhof Technorama
