There is a certain beauty to be found in the iron-rusted relic that can be found scattered throughout the Australian wall art outback, particularly in New South Wales. These relics tell stories of a bygone era, when the land was harsh and unforgiving, and people had to rely on their ingenuity and resilience to survive. The rusted metal of these relics is a testament to the passing of time, and the endurance of the materials used to build them. They stand as silent sentinels, bearing witness to the struggles and triumphs of those who came before us.

Built back in the Mid-1800s this old Sandstone Cemented Cottage was home to the gold miners who worked in the local mines in search of gold. The cottage was constructed using local materials, including timber and stone, and features a corrugated iron roof. The current owner of the property allowed me to photograph the property late afternoon. I captured this Unquie angle of the stone cottage in 6 x 17 Panorama Format.

Oceans Twelve | Australian Wall Art

    15 Artist Proof / 150 Limited Edition
The Great Ocean Road is a scenic coastal drive in Victoria, Australia, stretching for approximately 243 kilometers along the southeastern coast of the state. The road is famous for its stunning ocean views, towering limestone cliffs, and the Twelve Apostles, a collection of limestone stacks rising out of the sea. The formation of the Twelve Apostles began over 20 million years ago when the sea receded and the limestone cliffs were formed. Over time, the wind and waves slowly eroded the cliffs, creating the unique formations that we see today. I captured this angle of the Apostles early one winter's morning just on daybreak. I held the exposure down for a total of 2 minutes on Fuji Velvia 50. 90 mm Super Angulon Linhof Technorama

As the sun dips lower and lower on the horizon, the colors intensify, and the sky becomes a kaleidoscope of oranges, pinks, and purples. The clouds take on new shapes and forms, shifting and changing in the waning light. The countryside of Oberon seems to come alive as the sun sets, as the fields and forests are bathed in soft and ethereal light. The shadows grow long, and the air takes on a hushed and tranquil quality. WAITING FOR THE LIGHT - 2 HOURS

A spectacular sunset over  Hanging Rock in the Blue Mountains is an experience that will leave you in awe. As the sun slowly descends below the horizon, it illuminates the canyon walls with warm and golden light, creating a stunning display of colors and shadows. The vibrant hues of red, orange, and purple are reflected in the canyon, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene that seems almost otherworldly. The tranquil atmosphere is only interrupted by the occasional rustling of leaves and the distant sound of wildlife going about their evening routine. As the sun disappears completely from view, the sky transforms into a canvas of deep blues and purples, signaling the end of another day. The peaceful stillness of the canyon and the surrounding mountains is a reminder of the simple yet profound beauty of nature.
