As the sun begins to dip below the horizon, the sky above Burra, South Australia transforms into a canvas of fiery purple and pinks, casting a warm and inviting glow across the landscape. The colors of the sunset seem to dance across the sky, painting the clouds in vibrant shades of gold and crimson, and turning the sky into a work of art. As the last rays of sunlight filter through the wheat grass, they cast long shadows across the landscape, highlighting the beauty of the rolling hills and the lush fields that stretch out before you. The air is crisp and clear, and the sound of birdsong fills the air, adding a sense of peace and tranquility to the scene. In the distance, the spires of this historic cottage of Burra stands out against the sunset, casting long shadows across the fields. The beauty of the land seems to be amplified by the sunset as if the natural beauty of the landscape is somehow reflected in the town's rich history and architecture. 6 x 17 Super Roll Film

Located on the outskirts of a town near Burra, South Australia, I found this old ruined Sandstone cottage. Colonial settler cottages are an important part of Australia's architectural history, as they represent the homes of early European settlers who arrived in Australia during the 18th and 19th centuries. These cottages were often small and simple in design, reflecting the limited resources and harsh conditions faced by early settlers. I captured this image of the ruined cottage at sunrise and wondered to myself who built this so far from any nearby civilization and who lived here. Broken Dreams, 6 x 17 Super Roll Film

Burra is a historic town located in the Mid-North region of South Australia, located just outside the town center is this old 1920s sandstone cottage. The cottage is famous for its rich history over the years and the Australian Pioneers that built and lived here. I captured and composed this shot in the middle of a dry summer's day with a colour temperature in the 40s. The rolling hills of Burra in the background and the old cottage brought this image to life. I used a two-stop soft grad filter to bring the sun-drenched blue sky into balance with the dry wheat grass in the foreground. Classic Australian Landscape Image Capture 6 x17 Fuji Velvia 100

Burra is a historic town located in the mid-north region of South Australia. It was founded in 1845 after copper was discovered in the area and quickly grew into a thriving mining town. The cottage is famous for its rich history over the years and the Australian Pioneers that built and lived here. I wanted to capture this remarkable old cottage at dusk to show a different view most people don't see. Just after sunset everything changes, the texture of the rich dry wheat grass, shadowed rolling hills, and the sky lit with purple pastel hues that make way for the faint full moon making its way through the horizon.
