The ocean was alive that day with the sound of crashing waves, each one more powerful than the last. The ocean was churning, its deep blue waters rising and falling in a tumultuous dance that seemed to go on forever. I captured this rogue wave and held the exposure for 1 second.

Photographing large waves at Cape Bailey, NSW is an experience that captures the raw and powerful beauty of the ocean. The rugged coastline and iconic rock formations of Cape Bailey provide a stunning backdrop for capturing the majesty and strength of the waves as they crash against the shore. Each wave is a unique and dynamic force of nature, rising up to towering heights and then crashing down with a thunderous roar. The Might and Power of Big Waves crashing toward the coastline is a rush for anyone who is into Surfing Images. This 10-12 ft barrel I captured off the coast of Cape Bailey was so powerful, with only seconds to shoot this giant wall of water. The vacuum of the inner Vortex protrudes through the top of the barrel. The Whitewash splits into three's and if you look closely, you can see the phantom in the vortex.
