Sawn Rocks with its towering wall of Pentagonal Basalt Pipes. Located in the Mount Kaputar National Park Narrabri, New South Wales. It features a series of tall, cylindrical columns of rock that have been naturally carved by volcanic activity over millions of years. The Sawn Rocks formation is believed to have been created around 21 million years ago, during the Miocene era, when the area was home to a large volcanic field. The columns were formed when lava flowed from a nearby volcano and cooled, contracting and cracking into hexagonal shapes. The Sawn Rocks is a popular tourist attraction and visitors can take a short walk to the base of the formation to explore and take photos. The site is also of cultural significance to the local Gamilaraay people, who have traditional stories and beliefs associated with the formation. Captured this image on Film, Fuji Velvia 100

Narrabri is a town located in the North West Slopes region of New South Wales, Australia. The town is located in the Coolah Tops National Park, which is known for its beautiful scenery and hiking trails. Sun Seeker is one of my favorite images, captured this composition at sunset on the outskirts of town in the middle of summer. Using a 2-stop graduated filter I managed to get all the flowers facing the camera, with the last rays of light and the summer storm prevailing. 6 x 17 Super Roll Film

Wild Light | Narrabri Country Wall Art

The wild light of a sunset with a windmill at Narrabri is a truly captivating sight. As the sun begins to dip below the horizon, the sky explodes into a riot of colors, with shades of purple, orange, and yellow blending together to create a stunning display of natural beauty. The windmill, silhouetted against the fiery sky, stands tall and proud, a symbol of human ingenuity and perseverance in the face of the wild and untamed Australian landscape. As the light of the sunset becomes more intense, the blades of the windmill appear to be spinning faster and faster, as if they are harnessing the power of the sunset itself. The cool, crisp air carries the scent of the natural landscape, while the sound of the windmill creaking and groaning in the breeze creates a peaceful ambiance that is hard to find elsewhere. 6 x 17 Super Roll Film
