The Bone Yard at Bombo Head Land, NSW is a truly remarkable sight that captures the imagination and inspires awe in all who visit. This unique geological wonder is a collection of giant, hexagonal-shaped basalt columns that stretch out for hundreds of meters along the coastline. As you explore the Bone Yard, you'll be treated to a visual spectacle that is unlike anything you've ever seen before. The columns are perfectly formed and seem to rise up out of the earth like a natural work of art. The textures and patterns in the rock are incredibly intricate, creating a mesmerizing display that changes with the light and the tides. But the Bone Yard is more than just a pretty sight - it's also a place of incredible geological significance. The basalt columns were formed millions of years ago, as lava flowed from the nearby Kiama volcano and cooled into these unique formations. They're a reminder of the power and majesty of nature, and a testament to the incredible processes that shape our planet over time.

As the sun begins to rise towards the horizon, casting a warm golden light across the ocean, there's no better place to be than gazing out over Bombo Headland rising up from the water. The sculpture, crafted by the natural forces of wind and sea, seems to take on a life of its own as the colors of the sunrise dance across its surface. As the sky shifts from hues of yellow and orange to deep pinks and purples, the Bone Yard seems to come alive in a whole new way. The shadows and contours of the rock take on a new depth and texture, while the colors intensify and become more vibrant.

Located on the New South Wales, South Coast near Kiama this unique Rock Formation at Bombo Heads is better known as The Boneyard. Bombo Headland is belted by the harsh on-shore swell, these giant Sea Stacks sit on the shores line exposed to Mother Nature's fury. A must-see spot, generally used for Car Commercials in more recent times. Captured this image of The Boneyard late sunset just after a large sea storm hit the coastline. I held the exposure at Sunset for 10 seconds and then double exposed a second time for greater colour depth. Various Graduated Filters – Linhof Technorama 90mm 6 x 17 Super Roll Film
